how can i track a stolen car/cell phone by pin point accuracy??

i been thinking of ways to hook up my car so i can locate it if stolen. the same with my cell phone. the problem is that gps devcies and servces is too much. RF isnt too good cause of distance and line of line. i also thought about ip web cams but now i have to be able to have internet connect 24/7 in or around my car with having a modem and everything else that ill need. i could get an i.s.p like t-moblie or cinguar and use their wireless network but now i have to have a computer in the car with a network wirless card and who is to say that the internet connection will all ways be good or cover a large area.
the same with my cell phone. i would like to have a device like they got on "dragon ball z", the small screen that shows where the dragon balls are, its pin point its location. well, i would lose my phone in a club and to have something where the phone TX a signal and ill have a screen that a show its postion with in a certain distance. RF wouldnt work too well. any help. thk u

How To… Track a Cell Phone?

My friend’s cell phone was stolen about a week ago from her backpack.
Is there any way to "track" her cell phone?

Extra Info.:
Her cell phone is a Voyager
Her brand is Verizon Wireless
She has a GPS, but it doesn’t work because she hasn’t paid for it
She has Internet, but its not with her plan.

Are Dallas area Verizon customers going to get some kind of reperations for the ridiculous outage last week?

Last week in the DFW area all Verizon customers were without service for 5 hours. Does anyone know if we are going to get our accounts credited or anything? I used Verizon Wireless for my cell service (my only phone) and GPS navigation so I couldn’t look up or call to get directions. IT was frustrating. I have friends that use Verizon Vios (?) so their TV , cell phone, internet and land line are through Verizon so they had no way of communicating with the world.And as everyone else has said, "so much for America’s most reliable network."

VZ Navigator or Standalone GPS?

I have a Verizon Wireless cell phone and I have been paying the a month extra for the VZ Navigator service. Im a installation technician and I use VZ Navigator almost everyday. I have thought about getting a standalone GPS but the problem I have is I would have to always carry it from my car to my work van and then back to my car everyday, since I could possibly use it for something else when at home. I also look at that I have given Verizon 0 so far for VZ Navigator where I could have bought a fairly nice GPS at that price. So Im just wanting to see what you guys would do if you were in my shoes. Also if I would get a standalone GPS what brand would be best a Garmin, TomTom or a Navigon. Is the Navigon street view that great like they make it sound? Thanks for the help.
